Michele Meatloaf Every new album from Adam Thorton is an invitation to struggle for a way to describe how unique and appealing his music is to me. Every song is an affirmation of the pure pop aesthetic; sounds like every pop song I've ever loved but is completely new and fresh. Favorite track: I Wish I Knew.

I have a question that four of me want to ask you in unison And we want to ask it in falsetto Here's the question: Hey, hasn't everybody just about- Hey, hasn't everybody just about- Hey, hasn't everybody just about- Hey, hasn't everybody just about HAD IT? HAD IT? HAD IT? HAD IT? Now everybody's laughing about me behind my back And I don't know if I should laugh back Because I don't really think that it is very funny But if I don't, will they think I have a bad sense of humor? -think I have a bad sense of humor? Will they think I have a bad sense of humor? Wil they think I have a bad sense of humor about it? -bout it? -bout it? --BOUT IT? Well, hey, I think I heard a new club we can go to! I can type it right in on your global positioning satellite! I don't wanna go home how! I don't wanna go home now! I don't wanna go home now! I don't wanna go home now! Ow! (cough) Meanwhile, all of us are just looking for a place to go. Meanwhile, all of us are just looking for a place to go. Meanwhile, all of us are just looking for a place to go. Meanwhile, all of us are just looking for the fucking bathroom. -bathroom. -bathroom. -BATHROOM! Now, lets all go to the football game where we can stand in the rain And we can all have a beer and stand in our underwear And cheer for the team we know Woah, woah, woah, woah, woah, woah, woah, Woah, woah, woah, woah, woah, woah, Let's go, LET'S go!

"You look very young for 56 years of age," says your mother. The mirror slightly disagrees but you don't listen 'cause no one disagrees with your mother Even though you'd like to try You even have and it comes out quiet as a whisper But you gotta be as loud as all the city sounds that knock you out! (Night [night] nigh [night] nighty-night) (Night [goodnight] night [night] nighty-night) You've gotta try, really try! Do, really do! Believe, really believe! On Thursday, wear a red shoe! You've gotta try, really try! (Try [try] try, trity-try - try, try, trity-try) Do, really do! (Try, try, trity-try - try, try, trity-try) Believe, really believe! (Try, try, trity-try - try, try, trity-try) On Thursday, wear a red shoe! (Try, try, trity-try - try, try, trity-try) I don't suppose I'll get out'a here until she dies or I die "Who is she, the cat" says your mother. "Who is she, the cat?" You've gotta try, really try! Do, really do! Believe, really believe! On Thursday, wear a red shoe! You've gotta try, really try! (Try [try] try, trity-try - try, try, trity-try) Do, really do! (Try, try, trity-try - try, try, trity-try) Believe, really believe! (Try, try, trity-try - try, try, trity-try) On Thursday, wear a red shoe! (Try, try, trity-try - try, try, trity-try) Try, try, trity-try - try, try, trity-try Try, try, trity-try - try, try, trity-try Try, try, trity-try - try, try, trity-try Try, try, trity-try - try, try, trity-try

I wish I knew what I was doin' I wish I knew that I had common sense I wish I could intuit instead of overthinkin' things to death I wish I could just do it Like everybody else does everything I try to power through it But then I just wind up right back in my cave I don't know if I have anything in me I need I don't know if I have anything in me I need (I don't know if I have anything in me I need) Cool it (Cool it down) Hey, cool it just a minute now! (Woah) Why can't you just cool it? "I've tried, my man!" Hey, man, come on, just cool it a minute! "What if I can't?" Where's your go-get-'em attitude today? It's been a while since I've seen that side of me And I don't know if I have anything in me I need I don't know if I have anything in me I need (I don't know if I have anything in me I need) I don't know if I have anything in me I need (I don't know if I have anything in me I need) I don't know if I have anything in me I need (I don't know if I have anything in me I need)

"I'm - I'm a'comin' I - I'm comin' Mammy, I'm comin' Oh, God! I'm comin'!" There's a lot of ways to get your jollies these days "Oh, god! I'm comin'!" Every kink you could shame is only a few clicks away "Oh, god! I'm comin'!" Models do not judge and that’s easier than findin' love "Oh, god! I'm comin'!" "I'm - I'm a'comin' I - I'm comin' Mammy, I'm comin' Oh, God! I'm comin'!"

I haven't learned me anything I have a baby-dolly brain I haven't learned me anything I have a baby-dolly brain (I'm gonna kick somethin' if I can't get me a baby doggy!) I haven't learned me anything I have a baby-dolly brain I haven't learned me anything I have a baby-dolly brain "Teacher said that jokes are not to be told around here!" "There's a place in hell for laughter along with you, dear!" So I started to cry Now I find that I am so much happier Oh, No! (Such a good feelin'!) The terror of life! (I love it!) The terror of life! (I love it!) The TERROR OF LIFE!!!

Sliced Bread 01:54
I've been jackin' off about the same things for fifteen years My little life feels like it's getting old and shrinking Things I used to recall with ease I now only recall recalling with ease I'm starting to lose touch with everything tactile About many experiences Now it surprises me sometimes to remember what I used to recall Everyone I knew and know is still there But quite a few of them are now losing some hair How long before it reaches their brains And mother nature takes control of the reins? Who is alive now only in my small head Like every old bedroom and every old bed? Standing still doesn't stop the mins or the secs In that way, time is like a T-rex But here I am rigid in my ice age of doubt Not knowing if I'll ever figure anything out Hoping a turn of the page might reveal one that I've already read. The book is still in its order Nothing redundant Sliced bread Sliced bread Woah.

The Auction 01:50
I wanna go to the auction and buy you But you're not for sale at an auction Oh, what'ch'all havin' for your dessert? (NO!) Oh, lordy, lordy… The bank is closin' and I don't have any cash on me The bank is closin' and I don't have any cash on me "I bet that's where Mother Teresa wants me to go, isn't it?" I don't' have any cash on me "Yeah, Mother Teresa wants me to go into it, doesn't she?" I don't have any cash on me, yeah, yeah, yeah!
